Juan G. Berumen is an East Oakland-based writer, director, educator, and actor who sees storytelling as a vehicle for self-expression, community empowerment, and social transformation. Shaped by his experience growing up undocumented in the Bay Area, Juan is committed to telling stories too often ignored or silenced, weaving together speculative fiction, indigeneity, and the real.
