Architect Lesley Miles read her first story A London Love Story on a KQED Perspectives segment. It gave her the impetus to start writing about her experiences in Guatemala in the late 1970s that led to genocide in the early 80s. Her book All Things Hidden: A Witness to Paradise Lost; relies on troves of letters, journals and photos of her two years in Ixcán Guatemala to tell her harrowing tale and, that of the people in the crosshairs.
